News: “It’s Been a While”

Art by unknown artist

Looking at the postings, I noticed it’s been a while since I just wrote something that isn’t a story! That’s unusual for me. So, here I am writing without a net. This means I am writing as I go without doing it all offline first then copy and pasting it.

Grammarly

If you’ve noticed my writing is easier to read and better edited then I give full credit to the program called Grammarly. It has been my savior for the past…ooooh…several months now? It sits in the memory of my computer and underlines things that need to be fixed. It will also edit a document in such a way that you can click on this button at the bottom left to then go through several different choices of edits or versions. It was a decent price for a yearly subscription to it. I’ve been very happy with it.

Communities

I don’t know that I will be posting blow-by-blow accounts of my socializing at different Munches anymore. I still go to several but I don’t feel the need to report in about them all the time now. It has gotten to the point where when I introduce myself I hear more about “oh, yes, I remember seeing your posts” and “I love watching you and Rey posting to each other…it’s so cute” responses. One very new thing was when I was tapped on the shoulder last week by a young lady who asked if I was Sir Jon Grey? I told her I was and she said she wanted to introduce herself to me. I recognized her name from following her on Fet. It was kind of cool to be sought out.

To be honest, another reason I’m hesitant to report like I once did is that as I am becoming more known then it becomes more likely I will get bleed over from there to here. It’s kinder and wiser to be less open about my interactions so as not to offend anyone.

FanX

I had a great deal of fun at FanX last week. I attended two of three days, and thought i had a three-day pass I didn’t go on Saturday because I was too exhausted from the first two days! It had been reported that over 100,000 people were going to attend this time which was the highest number so far, but I found it to not be as crowded as I remember from a few years ago.

We’re definitely an A-List Comic Con now when you see who is now attending our little shindig. It’s become a Who’s Who of Nerdom/Fantasy/Cosplay and so forth. I splurged this year and got a photo op with William Shatner, David Tennant, and Zachary Levi. Did you know Shatner is 93?? I didn’t until someone mentioned it. He was quite nice and commented on my leather lap bag. “That’s a nice bag you’ve got there.” David Tennant was nice and cheery as he seems but it was quick with him. Zachary Levi was a last-minute decision. I was waiting for Shatner’s Op which was later in the evening on Friday. While I was walking around Celebrity Row, I noticed he was right there doing autographs and selfies. Turns out selfies are cheaper than Photo Ops. This is something I will remember for next year! He was very nice, too. For all of them, I thanked them for their work. It’s a little like thanking a veteran for their service. These people have put in a lot of hours and efforts to give me lots of entertainment. I grew up with Captain Kirk.

Grandest Conspiracy of All

I wasn’t sure I wanted to write this next part but I’ve come close to doing it in a separate article. I’ve tried writing it as a fiction piece to become a novel but it just hits a little too close to the truth for me to finish it. With that preamble, here goes.

I picture a person, maybe me, finally stumbling across some irrefutable proof that there are aliens among us, over us, around us. The problem is I get whisked away to a locked room where I wait for a man to come in and ask me some questions about what I plan to do with my information.

He sadly shakes his head and explains that no matter what I say or what I show, no one will believe me or no one will care. Why? Because the game is rigged. It isn’t a Shadow Government. It isn’t a Globalist Cabal. It’s much worse than that. Our world has not been our own for a long time. He points out it’s been over two centuries that this world has been taken over and run by an entity or entities so powerful, so advance, and so used to having done this before that we never stood a chance.

These Keepers allow us to have our petty governments, our silly wars, our salacious scandals. Why? To keep us amused while they do their own version of business. I ask what business is that. The man looks into my eyes and asks do I really want to know? When I say I really do then he sighs and takes me on a tour. He warns me ahead of time that I won’t be the same afterwards and some others have gone quite mad after seeing the whole picture. I want to go anyway.

This is when I learn about the Grandest Conspiracy of All. I learn that what we think of as human trafficking is but child’s play compared to what is being done on a cosmic scale. We are amusements, we are experiments, we are food for many different parts of the universe. We are cattle being bred for different purposes but cattle just the same. We believe we live and die and have good lives because it keeps us docile.

Every few thousand years, humans do grow to be too much of a problem and there is a cleansing or a restart of civilization. We get to uppity and need to be reminded of our place. This is why we find remnants of older times when they had advance things we don’t even understand today. Those were past versions.

People who go around saying there’s no way there could be such a grand conspiracy about UFOs of breakaway civilizations because someone would tell! No, they won’t. We’re monitored and much more so than NSA, CIA, and so forth could ever dream about it. People who might spill the beans are…as I have been…taken aside and given the choice of learning it all or quietly going back to normal life with some added incentives: red pill or blue pill. They knew I would never go back and the man is blunt and tells me most of his superiors hope I do go insane or “can’t handle the truth.”

I see things that utterly, completely, and thoroughly disgust me in how humanity is bred, packaged, sold, and treated. I see where the millions, billions of missing persons go and what happens to them. Worst, I see how a few of my fellow humans are used to facilitate these things and are given rewards that…I don’t wish to describe.

The tour ends, I come back to the room, and he asks me what I will do now. What does knowing the truth do for me when it can’t change or help others or whatever? I will be discredited, marginalized, exiled socially if I even try to tell what I know. Quietly, I go back to my normal life. I am now funded by these “people” a stipend to keep me living quite well.

I watch, I listen, and I wait. Why? Because as I left that little room with my head spinning and my stomach twisted, someone slipped me a note: “Not all of us agree.” I am patient because there is opposition in all things. We may have been held for centuries but there will be a reckoning, a revolt, a change in the cycles, and I want to be there when it happens.

Feeling Better

Well, I feel strangely better after getting that out of my system. Is it fiction? Perhaps. Is it what I really think? Perhaps. Either way, it felt good to get out and go back to just visiting this reality on occasion. I’ll be docile, for now, but…I do believe at some point there will be a reckoning. 😉

  1. While I have no doubts that there are aliens, the grand conspiracy theory def. Sounds interesting! Just at this point, I have not decided if I want to take either the red or blue pill yet.

    1. Maybe a purple pill is an option? Thanks.

The Grand Conspiracy – with all the grandiloquence of american culture – resonates for me essentially like a Kafka’s story : the vivid sensation of being trapped and unable to act and communicate, not because you can’t do nor tell things, but because you feel fondamentaly alone, though surrounded by plenty of people (who don’t understand you). Kafka wrote after the WW1, during the explosion of nationalisms in Europe (they had raised and matured since the 18th and were very potent just before the WW1), when a strong propaganda took over the wording, twisted it and transformed blatant lies into truths, making a proper and trusting communication impossible. Fear, despair and cruelty are its suffering children. Conspirationism is one way to escape the mental trap and to retake some power (or the illusion of it) over the world.

I find it fascinating how a fractured society can reflect the fractured minds of its members. In that regard, each link thread throw two people, each word sincerely eared and answered is an act of resistance and resilience. Never give up !

    1. As always thanks for your comment. I’m glad it resonated with you
