Hubris might become a King, but in a man ’tis no small thing,

It easily can cause much pain and threatens all you had to gain,

It is no quandary why it’s in the list of Seven Deadly sins,

Such a simple thing it is to think you are above all this.

And in this state of laissez faire believe there’s nothing you can fear,

From overreaching rules and lines convinced your knowledge is Divine,

You know just what all others would instead of doing as you should.

Never unto others do without their knowledge, being rude,

To think you know what is not said, To act when you should think instead.

A lesson even kings must learn, Or else give rise to conscience turned.
